A Southern Fried Mess

Insanity is a southern necessity…

lunch time

Well we were doing good until now.  Three huge trees just lost their footing on the other side of the road and fell across the power lines. We are now with out lights. We called  and reported the downed line—which was still live at the time and sparking—but all the power company did was cut the line and drive off.

The wind has really picked up now and it’s starting to feel like a hurricane should.  I suspect that we are half way through this thing.

Thanks for the prayers and we will keep you guys posted.

  2. Hope you get your power back on. If it was only one “leg” , the area may still have partial power.

    Hope you are doing alright!

Ha, Ha! Sorry; no such luck….

  3. Hope you guys are doing ok. The footage they’ve been showing on the news looked fierce. I’m in Arkansas right now and the rain hit us last night. But it’s just heavy rain nothing like what you guys have.

Leave it to you, Blue, to be traveling in all of this. Girl, you’re crazy 🙂
The storm was slow starting and we all thought it was a dud, but then it picked up…and…well…

    Be safe…
    Love, Barb

Barb, I can not thank you enough for your prayers! Our little town is/was about sixty miles from the center of the storm. We didn’t get it as bad as Baton Rouge, where my mother lives. She’s still without power.
