A Southern Fried Mess

Insanity is a southern necessity…

Hurricane blogging…

or at least an update on things again.  Nothing much going on right now. Traffic has died down on the highway outside and people are just playing the waiting game now.  I hate doing that.

The sky is starting to cloud up and you can watch the bands move across the sky. I suspect that the rain will start within the next few hours.

The weather man has just stated that the rain is starting to hit New Orleans.

I’m tired of watching the weather channel…

Wal-mart closed it’s door earlier this evening until after the storm. The corner store promises to stay open until nine tonight and vows to open up tomorrow if things aren’t too bad.

I’ve cooked all the meat from the freezer ahead of time so that we won’t have to worry about them spoiling.

X-Men is  now playing on the TV while the chipmunk’s Christmas CD screams  down the stairs from my daughter’s room.  Weird!

I’ll try and get some pictures and post them later if I can.

Until later…

  1. Hope you all stay safe!

My friend’s sister lives just outside of New Orleans, and is staying put, but has boarded up their windows in preparation.

We all hunkerd down here. Most likely when the rain and wind start tonight, we will put the kids all in the living room so to keep and eye on them. Hope your friend’s sister will be alright. We didn’t board up the windows this year. As I’m writing this, the rain has now started.
